Smashing time.

I’ve had quite a weekend, and lived to tell you about it. I’m pretty exhausted, which doesn’t really make sense, since I’ve only spent the past 24-48 hours resting. Over resting? Is it the weather? Nobody really knows.

As for my health. Just as I felt better, I relapsed. Was up Thursday night through Friday morning hacking my lungs out, then later making love with the porcelain throne for multiple hours - like earlier in the week. Able to manage making it to and from the doctor in between. I was diagnosed with another one of my beloved sinus infections, bronchitis, tied in with the stomach flu - all in one, which I always seem to get several times a year. I was prescribed to antibiotics. Felt much better after about 24 hours. Thank goodness. Didn’t want to miss this!

The Wedding and Reception were an absolute knock-out. It was a ‘Harley Davidson’ themed wedding, which obviously consisted of biking. They came to the Wedding and reception on their bikes. Had a smashing time - literally. The Wedding was absolutely gorgeous - although most weddings are, and make me feel a bit ‘weepy’ inside, since almost every wedding I see (or have been to) makes me picture my own someday. Of course, I had a blast at the Reception. Had some cocktails, good food, danced a bit, and enjoyed myself. Also seen some old friends, whom I haven’t seen in years. We exchanged numbers, and also took a little chance to re-bond. We all seem pretty happy that we’ve reunited, and we’re back in each others lives once again after all these years. Nobody really knows why we went our separate ways - just one of those things that happen.
The Reception died down around 1am. Obviously, some of us were still a bit feisty, and just needed a bit more. We invited some people over to our house to enjoy some more cocktails, beer, and dancing for another hour or so - ended up being until 4am.
For those who have access to my MySpace, I’ve posted pictures - if you’re interested.

As I was getting out of the car to walk into our house, something happened. (Read the rest of this entry)

Wallet is starving.

Just thought I’d post - been meaning to for a few days, only waiting until I’ve had something come up that was worth posting.

The transition from PC to Apple has gone tremendously well. I’m extremely satisfied. Haven’t touched desktop much over these past few days, nor have I even bothered. Once you use a Mac, it’s very hard to swap back without the urge to cringe. I’ve been enjoying it - a bit too much. It has set me back quite a bit financially, and burned a pretty deep hole into my pocket, but it was worth every penny.

As for my Dell laptop? I’ve been trying to sell it. No such luck. However, I have managed to get $80 for my Pink iPod Mini. Dad took it to work, and sold it to a guy whom he works with.

I’ve been off work (since Monday). These hour cuts are unbelievable, and they’re not improving. Went in to pick up my check, and glance at next weeks schedule - only to find out that I’m not even on again until next Thursday. That leaves me with another week with nothing ahead of me. My wallet is starving, and I have to start watching my spending habits. The job search isn’t going well. Applied here, and there, but my phone just won’t ring back. It’s very frustrating, but I won’t give up. Something will open up sooner or later. The insurance benefits that my job offers is also a piece of shit, which gives me another excuse to find another job.

I’m really trying to start saving money to get the account rocking again, since I have a few dreams that I’d like to accomplish, but can’t due to the lack of funds. At the moment, my account is only a few cents over 2 grand, compared to the 5 grand that I had a year ago. There’s something I’d like to do, but can’t, since that’ll completely wipe my account bone dry. With the price of everything increasing (fuel, food, and nearly everything else), extra money is about all we can afford to have in our pocket these days. I have a serious budgeting, and shopping problem, so it’s my fault that my account is slowly drying out. Every time I save a few hundred, I end up blowing it on shit that I don’t even need.

Over a majority of the time off, I’ve been sick. Not sure what I have, but it started as a sore throat, turned into a 24 hour stomach bug, back to a sore throat, then to an annoying cold. This one just can’t seem to go away. My nose keeps dripping, I have congestion, and this constant awkward feeling coming from my mouth - feels really dry like a cactus, which now resulted in a cough. Overall, I’ve felt pretty lousy over these past few days.

Other then that, I haven’t really been up to much. Being sick, sitting around, relaxing, and getting ready for the wedding on Saturday - really looking forward to it. Went to get my hair cut for the occasion as well - nothing big, just a trim. I also have my dress, which I bought a few weeks ago. We actually had a ‘cancel scare’, due to a personal situation, but there is nothing to worry about, and the occasion is still on. Good, because I’ve asked off, and I’m really looking forward to it. Should be a fun night - having some drinks, catching up with old friends, snapping pictures, the works.

That’s a wrap.

Still awake. My legs, butt, and lower back hurt. Can't get comfortable. Meh.. The Heroes sandwich shop sign in Oxford was defaced and not replaced for many years by turning the "o" into a "p"... :o 'There's a carwash in Manchester that promises the best hand job in Britain.' - Well, I know y'all are good for one thing. LMFAO. jokes.
